How I kick-started my 40 – Pound Weight Loss Journey in Just 14 Days

Many years ago, I felt very helpless. My struggling with the weight had become overwhelming. In 1990 I had graduated from college and then moved to New York in order to work as financial analyst for an investment bank on the Wall Street. Even though, I had already gained the Freshman 15 when I was on college, yet I was in some decent shape when I came to the Big Apple. However, not long before I complete stopped to exercise I gained extra 40 pounds.

All those long hours at work, the late night eating, the company cafeteria and the constant consummation of baked goods in my office (not even to mention the solo midnight tips to the near market for many favorite indulgences) had me really fast outgrowing all my clothes and the feeling increasingly tired and moody. For the first time in my life, I become really overweight.

Just like many people, I spent a few years trying many diets from the books and I didn’t even make it past for one day without carb, no fat and juice fasting. So, I find myself very irritable, disappointed, and depressed and what is more I started to weight even more then when I began.

One day I realized that the reason I could not lose weight or even keep off weight, it was in the diet programs I was using that simply were not right for me. I did not want to be seen in public, in front of other people, so did not enjoy to eat prepackaged, tiny meals.

Also, I did not have any time to fix those elaborate meals advertised by specific diet books and long and complicated weight loss programs. I just needed a very simple, practical program, which will provide the varieties of food that I ate. Like many people, I really enjoy eating and I want good food too.

Finally, I had an epiphany, so instead of finding weight loss program that is offering all I want, the options to stick to simple recipes, to easily dine out, enjoy different meals, occasionally to include my favorite meals, and what is the most important thing – to lose weight, I decided to develop my own diet program.

.I’ve started by removing the refined sugars from my diet
When I finally realized that I need to lose weight, I knew that I have to stop my excessive sugar consumption (all the sugary drinks and foods). It is hard in the beginning because you are used to sugar but once you remove it, you will rarely have the need of cakes or sugary drinks, or even not at all.

 .Next I removed wheat
The reason that I quit the consumption of wheat is not that the wheat is not good, but because the wheat products I used to consume were non-nutritious and highly processed.

 .Next I ditched the dairy
Even though, the dairy may be healthy, the dairy-rich food I used to consume, like ice cream, chocolate, cakes, cookies, pies, frozen yogurt etc., were sabotaging the weight loss. I replaced them with healthier alternatives, such as almonds and rice or soy milk.

.After the sugar, dairy and wheat, I decided to eliminate the highly processed foods
If it came in a bag or box – it was not for me.

.Then I stopped the consummation of artificial sweeteners, like diet soda, alcohol and red meat.
Actually, I gave up these foods very quickly, it took me only 7 days, I was quitting each day one of them. By the end of that week, I was 100 percent clean and wholesome diet.

 .I started to allow indulgences
I realized very quickly that in order to continue with the normal, healthy life I needed to “reword” myself with some “not healthy” food. I continued the healthy eating, but after initial 14 days I was having weekly indulgences.

.I finally found out a formula that is working for me!
I was losing weight more quickly and easier than I thought. My life started to be better and the people around me started to notice that.

I’ve began to share my program with my friend, family and co-workers. I put my 14 day program into a book, it is called Healthy You!14 days to quick and permanent weight loss and healthier, happier you. I highly recommend this program that made me a new person, a new conscious man of what I eat and how do I live my precious life.

Those 14 days truly did change my life!
